Fast access to a Level II NICU

Sick or premature babies admitted to a Level II nursery are kept in flat, open beds with a warmer overhead, that provide heat to keep them warm. Some babies in Level II need help with their breathing. If this is the case, they are connected to a ventilator or receive oxygen via other methods.

Your baby can be fed with your pumped breast milk or special formula through a feeding tube. Heart and respiratory rate, blood pressure, temperature, and oxygen levels are continuously monitored by machines, so the team can adjust your baby’s care quickly as needed.

Because The Woman’s Hospital of Texas is one of our sister hospitals, we offer quick transport and admission on those occasions when a Level III NICU is needed.
